I am in my last year of medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. From March 16th - May 16th, I will be working in the Kisoro District Hospital in Southern Uganda. Kisoro Hospital is very underfunded, to say the least. Currently three physicians are responsible for over 150 beds and the hospital lacks any form of X-ray services or sophisticated lab equipment. Myself, with four other 4th year medical students and 2 physicans, will spend two months in Kisoro learning and contributing what we can. Please join me for what I am sure will be a fascinating two months.
